Could 5G Have Caused Coronavirus (COVID-19)?

Article Last Updated: 11th April 2020

5G stands for 5th Generation Mobile Services. The aim is to have all urban areas connected to 5G by 2025.

The goal is to create the Internet of Things (IoT) and have everything we have and do connected to the cloud (our houses, our cars, ourselves), and it is being rolled out right now around the world, but do you know THE FACTS and science (not conspiracy) behind the controversial topic of 5G?

It’s fascinating stuff. Here are some highlights:

  • The environment: insects (including the honeybee) absorb the higher frequencies used in 5G which a 2018 science report concludes, “could lead to changes in insect behaviour, physiology, and morphology over time.”

  • Human health: over 240 scientists and doctors from 41 nations have appealed to the U.N. calling for urgent action against increasing our exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMF) generated by electric and wireless devices.

  • Published peer reviewed science clearly indicates that the current wireless technologies of 2G, 3G and 4G already create radio frequency exposures that pose a serious health risk to humans, animals and the environment.

I highly recommend this Factsheet (PDF) about 5G and our health from the Environmental Health Trust.

Environmental Health Trust

The Environmental Health Trust (EHT) is led by Dr. Devra Davis, PhD,. MPH, an award-winning, internationally renowned scientist and founding director of the Board on Environmental Studies and Toxicology of the U.S. National Research Council, National Academy of Sciences.

Currently, EHT focuses on raising awareness on the established impacts of cell phone use on public health and performing cutting edge research on exposure to cell phone and other wireless radiation.

On their website here and here you will find endless videos and studies on the harms of electromagnetic radiation.

Sufficient evidence suggests that 5G exposure causes free radical mutation in cells, de-structuring the water within them, possibly leading to cancer, heart damage and DNA damage, as well as a range of further health harming effects.

A 2018 scientific literature review presents evidence of “nonthermal cellular damage from wireless radiation used in telecommunications to DNA integrity, cellular membranes, gene expression, protein synthesis, neuronal function, the blood brain barrier, melatonin production, sperm damage and immune dysfunction.”

5G and The Coronavirus

As the search is on for the cause of the coronavirus, some scientists point to the fact that Wuhan in China became the first completely blanketed 5G city in the world as evidence.

Biology Practitioner (BBP) and Electromagnetic Radiation Specialist (EMRS) Paul Doyon states: “At the moment, with 10,000 recently installed 5G antennas plastering its city, Wuhan is probably one of the most 5G-electro-polluted cities on the planet.”

In his original piece he explains:

What has not been apparent in the news reports is the fact that China in its rush to take the lead in the 5G race, had by the end of 2019 (and mostly within the last several months leading up to the COVID-19 outbreak) installed 130,000 5G antennas throughout the country, 31 with at least 10,000 antennas installed in Wuhan alone. 32 (As a comparison, the USA only has approximately 10,000 5G antennas presently installed throughout the whole country.)

Dr. Martin Pall of Washington State University is another who points to 5G as the possible cause of the coronavirus. In a document to Stop 5G California, he presents the evidence, including that:

Wuhan China is China’s first 5G smart city and also the location of China’s first 5G highway.  It is also the epicenter of the horrendous coronavirus epidemic. During 2019, approximately 10,000 5G antennae were put up and turned on in Wuhan, with approximately 8000 of these put up in the last 2 ½ month of 2019.

He explains that research so far on 5G suggests neurological effects, cardiac effects, birth defects, suicides, and “Five downstream effects produced following EMF exposures have important roles in causing coronavirus infections.”

In a document to the Washington State Department of Health as far back as 2014, he expressed his concerns that “some 20,000 papers on microwave biological effects show that the current international safety standards do not predict biological hazard.”

He explains further:

current U.S. and International safety standards are based on the assumption that the only important thing that microwave and other low frequency EMFs can do biologically is to heat things … advocates for current standards argue that current safety standards are about 100 times more stringent than is needed … However, over 20,000 publications in the scientific literature have reported substantial biological effects of at exposures well within safety standards, such that none of these should be possible if current safety standards are scientifically based.

His latest compilation of EMF research literature was published in 2018 entitled:

5G: Great risk for EU, U.S. and International Health! Compelling Evidence for Eight Distinct Types of Great Harm Caused by Electromagnetic Field (EMF) Exposures and the Mechanism that Causes Them.

(download here)

Dr. Thomas Cowan is former vice president of the Physicians Association for Anthroposophical Medicine, and a founding board member of the Weston A. Price Foundation.

In the video above he explains the risks of electromagnetic fields (EMF) and the potential relation between 5G and the coronavirus. YouTube removed the talk here, so I have embedded the video myself.

He has also published recent articles on 5G and the coronavirus here and here.

In the latter he posits that:

every instance of “influenza” epidemic in our modern era was associated with a radical change in the electrification of the earth immediately before the outbreak.

As 5G is being rolled out, mass censorship of any arguments suggesting 5G could be dangerous has begun.

For example, British broadcasters face sanctions from the media regulator if they give airtime to, as the Gaurdian claims, “Baseless suggestions that coronavirus is linked to 5G.”

So What Can We Do About it?

EHT state that “Fiber is the safe alternative,” citing a 2018 report from the National Institute for Science, Law & Public Policy, which finds that Fiberoptic is safer, faster, more reliable, provides greater capacity, and more cybersecurity.

The facts show that we should obviously be taking the threat of current wireless technologies including 5G to human, animal and environmental health very seriously.

Further expansion of these technologies should be immediately stopped until more research is done. Also, it cannot be ruled out at the time of writing this that electromagnetic frequencies are the cause of the coronavirus.

There is just too much evidence that 5G causes DNA damage, cell mutation and other negative biomedical effects in both animals and humans.

In fact, a 2016 Armenian study has already demonstrated that 5G waves affect the growth of various bacteria, including E-coli, as well as “changing properties and activity” of the cells.

The good news is we can do something about it!
